(P\u00e1rrafo de la Relaci\u00f3n del corregimiento de la Villa de Morella. 1770)<\/em><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">La industria textil ha dirigido los destinos de Morella durante siglos, hasta que en las primeras d\u00e9cadas del siglo XX se inici\u00f3 un tiempo de decadencia que provoc\u00f3 el cierre de empresas y f\u00e1bricas y, por lo tanto, la emigraci\u00f3n de decenas de vecinos de la ciudad, y de otras localidades de Els Ports, hacia tierras catalanas. Ha pasado mucho tiempo y a pesar del \u00e9xodo de una poblaci\u00f3n que sufr\u00eda la crisis de los a\u00f1os veinte, la sociedad morellana no ha perdido su tradici\u00f3n textil.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><strong>Morella y toda la comarca de Els Ports<\/strong>\u00a0ha sido en la historia tierra de producci\u00f3n textil, donde se elaboraban telas para faenas agr\u00edcolas y ganaderas, sacos, talegas, mantas de pastor, muleras, alforjas, y telas, que en algunos casos se siguen fabricando, para prendas de vestir, de uso dom\u00e9stico, mantas, colchas, toallas&#8230; Una comarca que exportaba a numerosos pa\u00edses.\u00a0Y tambi\u00e9n en Espa\u00f1a donde, entre otros oficios, \u00abel faixero\u00bb era una figura conocida que recorr\u00eda el pa\u00eds, las fr\u00edas tierras castellanas para vender mantas y fajas de lana y de algod\u00f3n. En Cinctorres, localidad tradicional de confecci\u00f3n de fajas de algod\u00f3n\u00a0<em>El Faixero<\/em>\u00a0es un oficio reconocido de la historia local que hoy sigue confeccionando fajas, entre otros ejemplos, para los\u00a0<em>Sanfermines<\/em>\u00a0de Pamplona.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"col_dcha\">\n<div class=\"texto_contenido\">\n<p align=\"justify\">Paseando las calles de Morella nos encontramos con diversos comercios que han recuperado esta industria textil, empresas familiares que siguen ofreciendo productos antiguos como mantas, alforjas, o fajas morellanas. Pero tambi\u00e9n hay una interesante oferta de prendas de lana. Morella era una ciudad de cardadores, tintoreros, tejedores&#8230;, donde se creaban ropas de uso\u00a0cotidiano\u00a0y tambi\u00e9n\u00a0indumentarias\u00a0para festivas mediterr\u00e1nea.
